Known as "Allie" by his family, David Albion Dryden was the son of Rev. David Anderson Dryden and his wife, both Methodist missionaries. "Allie" grew ill with scarlet fever around March of 1864 and died at the age of 6. Only 7 months later, his older sister Daisy fell ill and passed, but not before claiming that "Allie" had been visiting her. She died 4 days after her visions of "Allie". They are buried together, along with another sister Helen "Nellie" who preceded them in death.
