JOHN MATNEY DEAD
John Bucannon [sp] Matney, 62 years old, a resident of The Dalles for the
last 16 years died last night at the family home 217 West Fourth Street,
following a long illness. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Alida Matney;
three daughters, Mrs. Olive Bronaugh and Mrs. Lela Wolfe of this city, and
Mrs. W. Newton of Cottage Grove (Oregon) and two sons, Virgil and Vernon
both of this city. The body is at the Burget-Mogan funeral home. No date for
funeral services has been set.
