Richard Alvey, 54, of 309 Fraim Street in Leitchfield died on Sunday, October 10, 1999 at his residence. He was born on August 6, 1945 in Indiana as the son of Claude and Lois Alvey. He was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Alvey. He is survived by his mother, Lois Alvey of Elizabethtown; one brother, Kenneth Alvey of Clarkson; and four sisters, Audrey Long of Needham, Indiana, Rose Swazay of Waldron, Indiana, Geraline Merrick and Marylin Pierce, both of Shelbyville, Indiana.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 14, 1999 at the St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial was in the St. Benedict Cemetery. The Rogers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
