William P. Booth, age 69, of Bear, DE, was greeted in heaven by his daughter, Tammy Booth-Rice, on Saturday, October 18, 2014with his family by his side.
William was a loving and hard working man who always put his family first. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and working on old cars. Most of all, William loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cynthia Booth; son, Paul S. Booth and wife, Shirley; son-in-law, Jim Rice; grandchildren: Brandon Booth, Michael Riddick, Christian Booth, Keara Cleary, Alex Booth, Michael Booth, Kylie Booth, and Karyssa Booth; great grandchildren, Kevin Booth and Nevaeh Riddick; brother, Edward Booth and wife, Nell; sisters, Janet Laster and husband, Jack and Laura Mitchell and husband, Sam; and his best friend and "brother from another mother", Russell Hall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferd and Olivene Booth; brother, Ferd Booth and his wife, Marylou; and sisters, Eva Stepp and Rosemary Sherbert and her husband, Bill.
A visitation will be held from 2-3 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service celebrating William's life at 3 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 256 Chapman Road, Ste. 102, Newark, DE 19702
