Margaret "Maggie" Dugi Pieprzyca was a woman known for her poise, patience, and understanding. She was very sweet and she was a hard worker. She lived on a farm with her husband Leonard Pieprzyca. Both of their families were Polish and they lived in the "Oldest Polish Settlement in Texas" Panna Maria. Each weekend the locals would get together and have dances where polka music was played and the young people would get together and dance. Leonard played the accordion and soon he and Maggie fell in love and were married. They had 5 children 4 are listed as follows: Alvin, Evelyn "Ruthie", Margaret "Margie", and Jennette.
Her daughter Evelyn "Ruthie" recently told a story of how her mother used to make soap in a black kettle outside for their use and to sell. Well "Ruthie" being a young mischievous child decided to put some mud/dirt into the black kettle with the soap! Needless to say it ruined the whole batch and her mother would not talk to her for a week! "Ruthie" has fond memories of her mother and describes her as beautiful and sweet.
