Services for Keith W. Arion, 77, of Camden, were held Friday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. The Rev. Ray French and the Rev. Ray Herriman officiated. Burial with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 413. Camden, was in Camden Cemetery. He died at 10:40 p.m. July 30, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.
Born March 14, 1925, in Flora, he was the son of Charles and Ruth J. Collins Arion. On April 12, 1947, he was married in the Camden First Baptist Church parsonage to Grace Cline, who survives.
He attended Camden High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre in ordinance evacuation. Mr. Arion was employed by Brown Rubber in Lafayette and later as a maintenance worker at Camden High School and Camden Elementary School, retiring in August 1989 after 29 years of service. He was retired from the Camden Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Camden First Baptist Church, Camden Lions Club and a 50-year plus member of American Legion Post 413 at Camden.
His hobbies included repairing TVs and electronic equipment.
Also surviving are two daughter, Bonnie Horn of Delphi and Donna Johnson of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters. Fem Sullivan of Camden and Marybelle Hicks of Flora; a halfsister, Phoebee Britton of Kokomo; a stepsister, Edna Mac Weaver of Grand Lodge, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
