Birth: Dec. 14, 1872
Cattaraugus County
New York, USA
Death: Nov. 14, 1955
Richland County
South Carolina, USA

The Civil War having ended, and three years after our President Abraham Lincoln died, Albert William Bailey was born in the western part of New York when it was still considered to be "the Wild West", potentially. Raised by farmer parents to master survival, hunting and self-reliance, he came to know his Lord and Master and gave his heart wholly to following His path and His heart for the world. He married, became a missionary in the lumber camps in North Maine and was the beloved pastor of a church in Passadumkeag, Maine. His wife passed away, leaving behind a strapping 5-yr-old son. Albert was soon able to follow his original calling, to minister in Africa. He met his second wife on a furlough in which many new missionaries responded to a call for help. They were married in Africa, continued to work there, then retired from missionary service under the South African Mission in 1947. He passed away in 1955 and was honored by young and old alike on both Continents. Pray for Angola, pray for the United States of America, pray for ALL those in spiritual darkness.
