FISHER-- Constance Ivy, was born July 28, 1871, in Willow Township, Richland County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dryden and Louise Carpenter. She died in Waterloo, Iowa, January 8, 1944, having been a resident of that city for twenty-five years. She was baptized June 10, 1889, and throughout her lifetime was active in various offices in her local branch and district. She was a contributor to all the church papers as well as several non-sectarian publications. On May 3, 1890, at Plano, Illinois, she was married to Adelbert Jeremiah Fisher, who preceded her in death on June 27, 1940. To this union six children were born. One son, DeWayne Adelbert, died August 18, 1932. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Freda McCormick, 1026 West Sixth Street, Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Joy Augustus, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Grace E. Wood, Tucson, Arizona; two sons: Audre M., and Alaric C., both of Camas, Washington; three brothers: C.I. and O.M. Carpenter, both of Independence, Missiouri, and C.S. Carpenter, Salinas, California; two sisters: Mrs. Lenoir Woodstock, Independence, Missiouri, and Mrs. Winifred Leonard, Salinas, California; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
