Mrs. Sandra Darleen (Peiffer) Huber, 67, of 45 Fifth Avenue, Fayetteville, PA, died at 4:56 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2007 in Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Her health started to decline following a cerebral aneurysm two weeks ago.

She was born on September 26, 1939 in Waynesboro, PA; she was the daughter of the late Aaron G. and Ruth M. (Sprenkle) Peiffer. She lived her early life in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Huber graduated from Waynesboro High School with the class of 1957.

She and her husband of over 49 years, Mr. Lester C. Huber, Jr., were married on September 27, 1957 in Hagerstown, MD. They moved to the present residence in 1966.

Mrs. Huber was a homemaker.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chambersburg and the Good News Sunday School Class of the church and a member of the national AARP.

Mrs. Huber enjoyed sewing, cooking, crocheting, knitting and playing the organ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Teresa E. (husband Jerry) Newberry of Chambersburg, two sons, Gregory K. (wife Georgia) Huber of Fayetteville, Mark A. (wife Annette) Huber of Chambersburg, four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, six sisters, Lenora R. Shatzer of Hagerstown, MD, Kathryn J. O'Donnell of Chambersburg, Mary Jane Hoffman and Margaret "Peggy" Wagaman both of Waynesboro, Shirley Spealman of Green Village, PA, Trudy J. Moore of Springfield, VA, four brothers, Kenneth L. Peiffer, Gerald E. Peiffer both of Waynesboro, Lowell E. Peiffer of Fayetteville, Frederick D. Peiffer of Mercersburg, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles A. Peiffer and Arthur G. Peiffer, three half-sisters, Ruth V. Peiffer, Helen L. Minnich and Evelyn Shadle and three half-brothers, J. Norman Peiffer, Lester Peiffer and Harold Peiffer.

Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2007 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro with Rev. John J. Dromazos officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

It was her request to have no public viewing, but the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home.
