Luis 'Louie' Aguilar, age 27, of Shakopee, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family after a courageous 21 month battle with cancer.
Louie was born on March 15, 1986, in El Salvador, the son of Jorge and Maria (Sotomayor) Aguilar. He was a 2005 graduate of Shakopee High School. On September 8, 2012, he married Megan Kranz in Chaska, Minnesota at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Louie worked for the Ford Motor Company in Shakopee, Bloomington, and Jordan. He was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed watching the Twins. He also enjoyed watching his sister-in-law and brother-in-law play sports. He loved riding his motorcycle, snowboarding, and cars. He loved his friends, especially hanging out with them at Applebee's.
Louie is survived by his loving wife, Megan; parents, Jorge and Maria Aguilar; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wade and Amy Kranz; sisters-in-law, Kara and Emily; brother-in-law, Caleb. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Services: Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, 11:00 AM, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 East 4th Street, Chaska, Minnesota. Officiating is the Reverend Greg Snow. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Chaska.
Visitation: Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013, from 4:30-7:30 PM at the McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 East Third Avenue, Shakopee. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10-11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Chaska.
