Edward A. Adams, 84, of Wilson Borough, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Easton Hospital. Born: June 1, 1928, in Easton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Anna Kowalchuk Adams. Personal: He and his wife, the former Doris Conroy, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 6, 2012. Edward was a partner in Easton Upholstery & Furniture Manufacturer from 1953-1997. He became the sole owner from 1997-1999, until his retirement. He graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1946 and attended Churchman's Business College. Edward enjoyed collecting antiques. Memberships: He was a member of St. Paul's III Lutheran Church, Palmer Township, where he formerly served on church council. Years ago, he was active on the committee that worked to relocate the church from its original location in downtown Easton to its present location. Edward was a charter member and past president of the Palmer Township Lions Club, where he had perfect attendance for 55 years. He was a former director of the N.E. Lion's Eye Bank, a fifty year member of Dallas Lafayette Lodge 396, F & AM and a life member of Lehigh Valley Police Revolver League. Survivors: In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward C. Adams and his wife Stephanie, of Williams Township; a daughter, Jayne Conroy-Adams and her husband Neil Adams-Conroy, of Martins Creek, PA; four grandchildren, Emily, Andrew and Alex Adams and Tamra Adams-Conroy and five great-grandchildren, Faith, Evan, Kylie, Aliah and Madilyn. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Adams-Conroy and two sisters, Gladys Shireman and Joan Schaible. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
