Patricia M. Frantz Adams, 69, of Scotrun, died Sunday, March 10, in her home. She was the wife of George P. Adams, at home, and the late Dayton Frantz, who died Jan. 6, 1982.
Born on March 17, 1932 in East Stroudsburg; she was a daughter of the late Paul and Lucy (Smith) Rowe and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
Pat and her son co-owned and operated R.M. Frantz Painting and Frantz's Touch of Color paint store in Stroudsburg.
She was a graduate of Pocono Township High School.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Scotrun and was currently serving as the secretary of the church council.
She was also a member of the Monroe Chapter 99 Order of Eastern Star and the Pocono Singles Club.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Paul Frantz and his wife, Kim of Scotrun; a daughter, Beverly Hudgins and her husband, Leon of Durham, N.C.; a step-son, Peter Adams and his wife, Elaine of Kresgeville; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Hudgins, Daniel Hudgins, Lena Frantz, Dayton Frantz, Christina Adams, James Adams, and Elizabeth Adams; two sisters, Mabel Metzgar of East Stroudsburg and Betty Sebring of Stroudsburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Metzgar Staples and a brother, Donald P. Rowe.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Martin L. Acker officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Scotrun.
There will be a viewing from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 177, Scotrun, PA 18355.
