Ralph as he was known became a Member of the Wanamassa Fire Company and Wanamassa First Aid Squad, Wanamassa New Jersey, August 25,1930. He was Elected Fire Chief in 1941 and First Aid Squad Captain 1935. He served the organization from 1930 to time of his death 1944.
Ralph entered military service during WWII on February 10,1943 as a Seabee. His training stations were Camp Peary, Virginia and Camp Parks, Hueneme California. He was sent overseas on September 1943 to Pearl Harbor with the 90th Battalion.
Mr. Dangler is listed as "KILLED IN ACTION" WWII. He was a Warrant Officer, U.S. Navy Seabees.

His wife was Florence Mae Nielsen Dangler of 1212 Turner Ave., Wanamassa. He attended the Long Branch School system and was an Electrician by trade . His parents were Arthur & Ethel Griffin of 23 Branchport Ave., Long Branch. Place of bith according to wife, Wayside, NJ. June 12,1905. Records are on file with the Monmouth County Historical Assoc.
