The funeral of the late Otis Ambrose was held at his residence just across the town line on the Newport road. Saturday p. m. Services were held by the Rev. Mr. Patterson of the M. E. Church. Had Mr. Ambrose lived until the second of next December he would have been ninety-seven years old. He had lived for eighty-four years on the farm which he died. He was taken to the cemetery south of Corinna Village. Asa young man he helped to carry the first body ever laid to rest there. He was well known for his strict integrity and his even dispostion.
