He had been a resident of Amenia about 42 years, employed as a staff attendant at the Wassaic State school. He was veteran of WWII. He was married in La Cruz, NM, to the former Nina Tumminelli, who survives, as do a sister, Mrs. Webster Thurst, Pine Plains; two half brothers, Milton Abbott, North Montpielier, VT, & Frank Abbott, Tavaris, FL; two stepsons, Roger Funk, Dover Plains, & Alfred Funk, Lisbon Center, ME.
