HOLLANDALE — Samuel Rush Fleming, 81, of 200 Washington St., Hollandale, died Thursday morning at King's Daughters Hospital in Greenville after an illness.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Boone Funeral Home Chapel in Hollandale with Rev. Max Parker officiating.
Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan.
Mr. Fleming was a native of Noxapater where he received his early education. In 1922 he moved to Glen Allan where he engaged in farming until his retirement in 1960. He then moved to Hollandale. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, R.E. Fleming of Glen Allan; two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Morris of Jackson and Mrs. Maudie Britton of Hollandale; one sister, Mrs. F.M. Malloy of Crossett, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
