Rick was born Feb. 8, 1951, in Sandpoint, Idaho, son of John and Laura Breeden. Rick spent his early life in north Idaho. He attended school in Kootenai and Sandpoint.
Most of Rick's adult life was spent in the Clearwater Valley. His love for the river, fishing for steelhead and salmon brought him great joy. The mountains as well were important because he loved to hunt his favorite animals.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jaylene; sons, Ken (Naomi), Ricky; granddaughters, Andrea and Jordie; sisters, Diane (Billy) Rice, Janie (Allen) Decker, Linda (Bob) Howard; and numerous members of his extended family.
