|Birth: ||Jan. 19, 1892|
Jönköpings län, Sweden
|Death: ||May 29, 1949|
He emigrated to Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota, with his mother, in 1893. His father had come a year earlier.
He joined the Navy during World War II, and became a Cook. At that time, he changed his name to Charles Bert Mullen, and began to tell people he was from Cleaveland, Ohio.
in the late 1920's-1940's, he ran a series of restaurants in Long Beach, California. He and his wife purchased several pieces of property (they lived VERY frugally), and that was his widows "nest egg" when he died of a massive heart attack in 1949.
