Ludwig Ahrens died at his home two miles southwest of here after a prolonged illness, early monday morning.
Deceased was 71 years old. He was born in Germany, where after reaching man's estate he served as a private in the army, and received up to the time of his death, a pension from the German army for an injury to the eye, sustained while in the service. Later he emigrated to this country and during his residence has been an honored citizen. He leaves a wife, Wilhelmina, and several grown children
