May 23, 2008 Deceased Name: Donald O. Cargill Sr. Truck Driver Donald O. Cargill Sr., 66, as, died Tuesday evening, May 13, 2008 at home under the care of Hospice and his family. He was the husband of Susan (Askew) Cargill for 41 years. Born Sept. 13, 1941, in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Charles and Gladys (Williams) Cargill. He was raised and educated in Attleboro. He was a resident of Easton for the past 34 year. Mr. Cargill worked as a truck driver for Pool Builders of Norwood for the past eight years. Previously he has been employed by Blane Polymers of Mansfield. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed boating, deep-sea fishing and auto mechanics. Besides his wife, Mr. Cargill leaves two sons, Donald Cargill Jr. of Easton and Scott Cargill of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Shelly Walker of Ashuelot, N.H., Stacey Murphy of East Wareham and Suzanne McKenzie of Easton; a brother, Charles Cargill of Attleboro; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Ralph Cargill. His funeral was held on Saturday, May 17 in the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St., Easton. Interment followed in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton.
