Services for Rosser William Baxter Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. William C. Reid. Burial will be in Denmark Cemetery at Denmark.
Pallbearers will be Alan E. Fulmer Sr., Clifford Day, James B. Baxter Jr., Clifford Day, James B. Baxter Jr., Theodore B. Hayne, William B. Harley and William E. Sellers.
Mr. Baxter, 85, of 810 Rockwood Road, died Monday.
Born in Ridgeway, he was a son of the late William Ezra and Sally Kennedy Baxter.
He was owner and operator of R. W. Baxter Insurance Agency and was formerly associated with the Federal Land Bank of Columbia and as a mortgage loan correspondent with C. Douglas Wilson Co.
Mr. Baxter was educated in the Ridgeway public schools and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Shandon United Methodist Church, the Christian Home Sunday School Class and Columbia Civitan Club.
Surviving are a son, Rosser W. Baxter Jr. of Columbia; and grandchildren.
