Melba died at age 65 after struggling with a long illness.
Graveside services were at Silverton Cemetery with Myers-Chancellor Funeral Homes of Silverton handling arrangements.
On 6 Jun 1958, Melba marred Bill Jack Williamson in Silverton.
According to her obituary, Melba loved gardening, reading, travel and her family. The obit notes that Melba worked as a real estate broker, bookkeeper, and substitute teacher.
Melba was preceded in death by her father and brother (Truman).
The obituary lists the following survivors: Melba's husband, Jack; her son, Mark, and his wife, Kim, of Minot, N.D.; daughters, Susan Williamson and husband Rob Franklin of Seminole, Carol Wilkinson and husband Scot of Denton, and Jackie Williamson and husband Blake Smith of Azle.
Melba was also survived by her mother, Irene Loyd of Silverton; her brother Bailey Loyd of Silverton; and her sister Anita Cooper and husband Billy of Lubbock. Melba has seven grandchildren, Kristen, Eric, Blue, Skyler, Evan, Ian and Robin.
