John Klaumann, son of John and Henrietta Klaumann, was born May 24, 1863 and died April 15, 1953.
At the age of seven he moved with his parents to the homestead three miles south of Cuba, where he lived until November 20, 1945. He moved to Agenda that he might be near his nephew, Orville Fredricks. On March 29, 1946, he moved to the Johnson rest home in Belleville, after a lifetime of farming and living close to the world of nature.
His parents, a brother, Henry, and a sister, Henrietta, preceeded him in death.
He is survived by three sisters, Amelia Klaumann and Martha Pentico of Belleville, Rosa Fredricks of Lindon, Colo., and one brother, Louis Klaumann of Belleville.
Services were held at Tibbetts Bros. chapel, Saturday, April 18, with the Rev. John Gillesse officiating. Interment was in Willoughby cemetery, Agenda.

Census records show that John Klaumann was born in Iowa and both of his parents were born in Czechoslovakia.
