George Blosser Died, at the residence of Noah Hoffman, in Jasper, on Thursday morning, 28th, George Blosser, aged about 69 years and nine months; was intered in the Yankee Hill Cemetery Friday afternoon, the G.A.R. conducting the funeral rites.
Mr. Blosser had been quite sick for several weeks, but had recovered so that the people took but little thought of his being sick. But a few days ago he complained some of his appetite failing and Wednesday night about eleven o'clock he took suddenly worse and died before day the next morning.
He was a soldier in the late war, having enlisted in Company D. 17th O.V.V.I. Sept.10th, 1861 and was discharged July 16th, 1865 - almost 4 years. He was at the time of his death a pensioner, drawing $17.00 per month.
