Charles Elbert "Chuck" Rhea, III, died on January 23, 2002, while in Providence Hospital, Anchorage, Alaska, suffering a stroke caused by complications of Type 1 Diabetes. He was waiting for a kidney/pancreas transplant. He had successfully received a kidney transplant in approx. 1984 from his donor father, Charles Rhea, Jr. "Chuck" was born on October 18, 1951 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Charles Elbert Rhea, Jr. and Dorothy (Goodwin) Rhea. He married Patricia Beth "Pati" (Johnson) Rogivue on June 23, 1990, in the Rose Garden on the Park Strip in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by "Pati" of the home, his parents, his sister, Rhonda Lynn Webb, and his brother, Jeffery Lee, and wife Becky, and their three daughters. He was preceded in death by his nephew Andrew Donovan Rhea, and his maternal grandmother, Hattie Lou (Meacham) Rhodes. His ashes will be spread at a later time.
Specifically: part of his ashes were scattered with those of his sister, Rhonda Lynn Valencia, ashes from his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Orbit, on April 14, 2012. These ashes were spread over the grave site of his beloved paternal grandfather .
