Married Matilda M Harrison on January 2, 1860 He was 5'8" blue eyes/sandy complexion/alburn hair according to his Civil War Records. He was wounded at the Battle of Atlanta on August 5, 1864. He was discharged January 1865 with partial loss of right arm. He had ben a cabinet maker before the war and became a barber after the war.
