Andrew A. Anderson was born 9 March 1871 in Sweden to Anders Mathiasson. He emigrated to America in the early 1890s with his father and sister. They settled in Ruthven, Iowa. He was married to Jenny Carlson in Ruthven. They made their home in the Ruthven and Dickens vicinity where they farmed and raised three children. Andrew died Sunday afternoon, October 12, 1930, at a Spencer, Iowa, hospital following an operation. He had been ill only a few days. He was survived by his widow, three children, four grandchildren, and three sisters.
His great-nephew, Inger Wildenfeldt of Sweden, has provided the following data on the family and would like American descendants to contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Andrew Matson was born as Anders Mathiasson the 8th 0f September 1848 in Genarp, Skåne, Sweden. He was born as a illegitimate child to the maid Hanna Magnusdotter. She married 1855 the farmer Mathias Andersson in Genarp. Andrew Matson is my grandmother Kristina Anderssons father. He and her sister Hanna Anderssson and her brother Anders Andersson emigrated in the beginning of 1890. Andrew Matson left his wife Ingar Andersdotter and my grandmother Kristina in Sweden and didnīt return until 1907 when his wife was dying. After her death he returned to USA and he came never to Sweden again. I didnīt know all of this events until I began to do my research of my ancestors. I have done research back to the 1700 century. And of course looked for relatives to my grandmothers father and his children. I have tried to find some now for 12 years. If you want to know more please contact Inger Wildenfeldt mail email@example.com"
