Mr. Burris was still unconscious this afternoon in the hospital at Norwood, according to word received from Montrose. The accident is one of a ? of tragedies at Montrose which have in the past four months taken several lives.
The Burris family and Mrs Holybee had been visiting Mr. Burris parents in the Disappointment Valley, They having moved there frorm Montrose a month ago. They stopped at Norwood, then proceeded toward Montrose reaching the hill where the wreck occurred shortly before seven o'clock and just before dark.
According to the Montrose county coroner's investigation the car had no light and the driver had lost control. The road over the treacherous hill is very poor and the tracks of the automobile showed that before the car left the hill to plunge down the 100 foot embankment, it had zone a few feet up the embankment on the inside of the hill several times and had gone from side to side of the road.
Mr. and Mrs. Burris and both of thier families have lived in Montrose for some years and they are well known throughout that district.

Funeral services were held friday afternoon for Floyd Burris, 23, fourth victim of an auto wreck on the Naturita-Cedar road which occurred on Thursday afternoon about 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Burris, wife, Alice, 17, his baby son, 18 months old, and his brother in law, Cecil Holybee, all of Cedar, Colorado were killed instantly when their car went over the grade and fell about 60 feet onto the rocks below. Mr. Burris died the day after the accident, after being removed and brought to Norworrd, The wreck was found shortly after it occurred by Harold Priestly of Redvale. The entire party drove to Norwood from Cedar Thursday morning and while in Norwood Mr. Burris traded cars with a local resident, They left town about 6 o'clock and it is supposed that when darkness overlook them on the canon road that they discovered they were without lights but attemped to go on without them. It was quite evident that they had driven almost the entire lenght of the grade without lights from the whell tracks of the car. The car had evidently run up the hill a short distance and in attempting to get back on the road it backed off the grade and fell for a straight drop of 60 feet or more. Funeral servieces for Mrs. Burris, the baby and Cecil Holybee were held the same day that Mr. Burris died. They were all laid to rest in the Redvale Cemetery. The sympathy of the entire district goes out to the mothers and fathers and other relatives, who are left to face such a terrible loss.
