Mark S. Agness, 56, Greentown, went to sleep Sunday night at his
residence and woke up in Heaven Monday morning, May 24, 2010. He was born Oct. 6, 1953, in Kokomo, to Dalton M. and Charlotte (Misner) Agness. He married Laura (Gibson) Agness on April 24, 1976, and she survives.

Mark graduated from Eastern High School in 1972. He had worked at Chrysler Casting for 31 A�A� years, retiring in 2003. He was member of Union Local #1166. Mark was a lifelong Yankees fan and I.U. basketball fan. He had been an avid golfer from a very young age.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Agness, Greentown; daughter, Emily Marie Agness and his beloved grand puppy Cooper, Indianapolis; mother, Charlotte Agness, Greentown; brother, Greg (Beverly) Agness, Altoona, Iowa; sister, Chris (Jimmy) Irwin, Kokomo; nieces and nephews, Holly Irwin, Bloomington, Brady Irwin, Camp Lejeune, N.C., Ben Irwin, Kokomo, Gary (Andrea) Agness, Liberty, Mo., Justin (Courtney) Agness, Kansas City, Mo., and Nick Agness, Des Moines, Iowa; great-nieces, Hannah and Bailey Agness, Liberty, Mo., and Reagan Agness, Kansas City, Mo.; brothers-in-law, Dennis Gibson, Mesa, Ariz., Dirk (Angela) Gibson and their children Mitchell and Erica, Albuquerque, N.M., Dean (Laura) Gibson, Albuquerque, N.M., and son Adam, Camp Lejeune,
N.C.

He was preceded in death by his father, the late Dalton M. Agness; brother, Steven Agness; nephew, Josh Agness; and mother- and father-in-law, Betty and Ray Gibson.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Hasler-Stout Funeral Home, 112 E.
Main St., Greentown, with Pastor Gary Agness officiating. Burial will
be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, following the service. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
