BESSIE J. ADAMS
Bessie J. Adams, 98, of Shelton, died here September 24.
Mrs. Adams was born January 14, 1888, in Goldendale, the daughter of pioneers James and Ruth Jackson. She was active in the First Baptist Chruch, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary and the Klickitat County Historical Society in Goldendale. She had been a Shelton resident since 1978.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband Roy, in 1951.
She is survived by sons Harvey, Shelton; Hugh, North Ridge, California; and Wesley, Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Ruth C. Miller, Shelton; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A graveside service and inurnment at Spring Creek Cemetery near Goldendale are planned and the date will be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of McComb and Batstone Funeral Home.
