Gibson City (PNS)--Cecelia M Hawthorne, 62, died at 2:37 am Thursday at Gibson Community Hospital. Her funeral will be at 2"30 pm Saturday at Gibson City United Methodist Church, the Revs. James Bortell an Curtis Lindquist officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 6:30-9 tonight at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be at 8:30 pm.
She was born Oct 1, 1918, near Guthrie, a daughter of Lee and Lelah Cooper poplett. She married Donald M Anderson July 28, 1942 at Palmyra, Mo. He died June 11, 1967. She married Kenneth R Hawthorne Dec 9, 1972, in Gibson city. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Scoggin, Virginia Beach, VA., and Sandra Lee Rollins, Lafayette, La; a son, Roger Don, Muscatine, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Suzanne Pitz, East Moline; two stepsons, Steven Hawthorne, Gibson city, an Sidney Hawthorne, Foosland; her stepfather, Carl Hedlund, Gibson City; three grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
She lived most of her life in the Gibson City area. She was a 1943 graduate of St Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Bloomington. She was a member of Gibson City United Methodist Church, the Faith Builders Sunday School Class and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Past Worthy Matron in 1967 and 1980, a member of Southside Country Club and member of Untied Methodist Church and the Faith Builders Sunday school class.

Elliott---(PSN)--The marriage of miss Cecelia Mae Poplett of Bloomington and Donald M anderson was announced Tuesday. The wedding took place at Palmyra, Mo, on July 28 (1942). Miss Poplett is a senior in nurse's training at St Joseph Hospital, Bloomington, and Mr Anderson is at Scott field, Belleville.
Mrs. Lelah Poplett announces the marriage of her daughter, Cecelia Mae, to Donald M Anderson, of Elliott. The double ring ceremony took place july 28, 1942, in the Methodist Church at Palyra, Mo, the Rev. C.L Dorris officiating.
The bride is a graduate of Drummer Township High School, attended Stephens College of Columbus, Mo., and is a senior in St Joseph's School of Nursing at Bloomington. Mr Anderson is a graduate of Drummer High School and has been a Civil Service employee at Chanute Field for the past two years. He was inducted inato the US Army July 30 and will lieave for camp August 13.
