My dad was an easygoing man who had a wonderful sense of humor. Some of my fondest memories of my dad was his playful nature.
Dad enjoyed taking me and my two sister's swimming in some of our favorite swimming holes.
Dad would also take us fishing, flower and berry picking and in the winter Months we went sledding or ice-skating. Those were the good ole days!
My dad's favorite time of the year was Christmas, he was a bigger kid then any of us were. The hardest part of Christmas for us girls was surprising him.
With a big smile on his face dad would pick those gifts up one by one and give them a little shake and he knew what they were. When the gift was opened, he laugh and said, "I knew it!"
My dad died at the age of 59 after having a heart attack while in the hospital. The heart attack caused my dad to fall while he was attempting to use the restroom; he hit his head causing my dad to end up with a severe head injury.
The doctor drilled a hole in my dad's brain in hopes to rid the fluid pressure that was quickly building up. The surgery was not successful, we took my dad off of life support and my dad died 3 days later he was brain dead.
My dad will always be loved and deeply missed.
