Willis Beougher, 83, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He was born June 2, 1928, in Camden, to Truman and Leona (Kirkpatrick) Beougher. On June 2, 1950, he married Dolly Knight at Walton Methodist Church.
Willis graduated from Camden High School, where he was a valuable member of the basketball team. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a military policeman.
He owned Walton Construction Company, building homes in the Walton, Logansport and surrounding areas, and later owned Will and Son Construction Company, building homes and businesses in the Kokomo area. Willis also worked as a block and brick union mason, mechanic and assistant manager at Cedar Crest Bowling Lanes and a sales attendant at both Shell and Gas America.
Willis is survived by his wife, Dolly Beougher; daughter, Becky (Brad) Seamster, Kokomo; son, Rick (Janet) Beougher, Kokomo; granddaughters, Holly Beougher, Galveston, and Amanda (Dean) Clark, all of Bowling Green, Ky.; grandson, Nathan Beougher; step-grandsons, Donald Carey, Dennis Carey, Daniel (Gail) Seamster, and Mark (Tracie) Seamster; stepgranddaughter, Dawn (Rich) Coop; great-granddaughters, Olivia Skiles, Madelyn Brown, Berklee Beaver and Jasmine Clark; great-grandson, Hunter Mohr; stepgreat-grandsons, Jayson Hart, Garrett Coop, Jacob Seamster and Orian Cary; stepgreat-granddaughters, Cassandra Seamster, and Athena Carey; sisters, Theresa Issac, Doris Sink and Joan (Pete) Jackson; brother, Donald Beougher; sister-in-law, Dodie Jones; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George Beougher.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron DeGraaff officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, with military honors
