Catherine Lorene Peak Baldwin, age 86, of Coffeyville,KS passed away on Wed. Oct.29,2014 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 13,1928 at Greenbush,KS to Rollan and Ada Mary(Brazil) Peak. She grew up and attended school in the Greenbush and Girard area, graduating from Girard High School. She later graduated from Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg,KS with a degree in education.
On June 29,1948, she married Harry Earl Baldwin at Greenbush Catholic Church . Following their marriage they lived in Kansas City, Girard, and Salilna before moving to Coffeyville in 1959. Earl preceded her in death on Sept. 3,1999.
Catherine was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, was a member of Holy Name Altar Society, March of Dimes volunteer, Red Cross Blood donor giving over 50 gallons of blood. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family.
Survivors include three sons: Father Michael "Mike" Earl Baldwin of Pittsburg,Ks, David Lee(Cindy) Baldwin of Coffeyville and Daniel "Dan" Louis Baldwin of Greenville,N.C.; three daughters: Marilyn Catherine(Jim) Hendrix of Coffeyville, Barbara Carolyn(Dan)Statuto of Greenville,N.C., and Rebecca Ann(Kevin) McMurray of Tulsa,Ok; two brothers, Jim Peak of Girard,KS and Paul Peak of Anderson,Mo; one sister, Mary Senecaut of Girard,Ks.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband,brothers, Loyd Michael Peak, Charles Joseph Peak and William F."Bill" Peak; sisters, Patricia A.Peak and Mary Loretta Lallemand.
