Birth: Jul. 7, 1885
Fort Benton
Chouteau County
Montana, USA
Death: Sep. 19, 1943
Ogden
Weber County
Utah, USA

Ethel's mother was Elizabeth Crammer Glasmann, first wife of William Glasmann.

Ethel's first marriage was to F. A. Babcock. They married in Cripple Creek, Colorado, in 1906. Her second marriage was to William Charles "Charley" Clark in 1914.

From the Ogden Standard-Examiner, September 20, 1943:

Mrs. Clark died suddenly Saturday near midnight in a local hospital of a stroke which resulted from a fall at her home earlier in the week.

She was the widow of Charles Clark, local merchant, and a daughter of the late William Glasmann, publisher of the Ogden Standard-Examiner and former mayor of Ogden, and Mrs. Glasmann.

Born July 8, 1885, in Montana, Mrs. Clark came to Ogden with her parents and had resided here since, with the exception of a few years in New York, where she studied voice and dramatics, and in Los Angeles and Hollywood, where she did radio work as a vocalist. During her residence in New York, she made several appearances on the stage. Following up her musical career, she became widely known as a soprano vocalist for radio and was at one time one of Ogden's most prominent singers. She was also a member of the famed Hollywood community chorus.

Mrs. Clark was also a leader of women's activities, being second president of the Soroptomist club of Ogden, a member of the Women's University club and the Business and Professional Women's club. At the time of her death she was a member of the editorial staff of the Standard-Examiner and traffic manager for KLO radio station. Prior to being traffic manager, she was program director.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara G. Clark, Ogden; four brothers, Ross C. Glasmann, manager of the Orpheum theatre: A. L. Glasmann, publisher of the Standard-Examiner; William W. Glasmann, manager of the Paramount theatre, and Blaine V: Glasmann, newspaper executive, all of Ogden; also her [step]mother, Mrs. Evelyn Glazebrook, of Ogden.

Internment will be in Ogden city cemetery.
