Obituary:
Mr. Olen Franklin "Ted" Alexander, age 88, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday 3:00PM, January 10, 2014 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. Burial with military honors by Post #1142 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 until 3 prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander was born October 21, 1925 in Wilkes County to Roy McKinley Alexander and Nancy Belva Richardson. He was the owner and salesman of a car lot and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Alexander served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was a POW.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois McCann.
He is survived by: his wife, Phyllis Ann Walker Alexander of the home; one son, Gary Phillip Alexander and wife, Reba of Pinnacle; one grandson, Phillip Chase Alexander; two brothers, Reece Alexander and wife, Wanda and Bobby Alexander all of Winston-Salem.
