Clarence Francis Curtis, born 1919, in Akron Ohio to Elizabeth Mary Franzen Curtis and Emil Earnest Curtis.
He grew up in Ellet, on a fair size lot, for being in the City Limits. He graduated from Ellet High School as the Valedictorian.
He entered WWII as Army Air Corp. He flew planes and then was McArthur's Teletype Operator.
He married Elizabeth Helen Curtis and had four children.
He was a truck driver, when he was young. He was a Union Carpenter, Builder, He worked for other Builders and had his own company. He built over 250 houses in the 40's, 50's and 60's. He taught School at Central Hower, in the 60's and early 70's. I taught him New Math on our huge chalk board when I was 13. On all other things, he was teaching me. The family lived in Northwest Akron 50 years. He was a great Ballroom Dancer. He had many friends.
He was a member of the German Family Society on Grant Street and then one of the founding members of the Brimfield site. He belonged to the Carpenter's Union. He was a member of St. Sebastian Church. His wife Elizabeth died on the same month and day he died, (34 years later).
