Acciani, 87, of Little Silver NJ died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 21, 2011. Born Sept. 17, 1924, in Perth Amboy, he resided in Little Silver for the past 51 years. Daniel was a graduate of Michigan Tech. University where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees, earning the title of Professional Engineer. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army, fighting in the Battle of the Buldgem and was amoung the first to cross the Remagen Bridge. He was an active member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Buldge. Daniel was the owner of Daniel B. Acciani P.E. and Assoc. in Red Bank NJ and Little Silver and was the Town Engineer for Little Silver and Highlands NJ.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Marilyn, his devoted children Mark and wife Sandra of California, Neal of Little Silver, and Lynn Kroll and husband Michael of Tinton Falls NJ. He is the proud grandfather of Quinn Katherine Acciani of NYC and Alex Daniel Acciani of Harleysville PA and dear brother of Lawrence Acciani, Angelina Bartalone, and Rita Arneson and survived by many nieces and nehews.
