Bradley enlisted in the United States Army on 6 January 1941 in Worcester, Massachusetts while serving with the Civilian Conservation Corps. After boot camp, he was assigned to the 302nd Infantry Regiment, 94th Infantry Division.
Bradley died of wounds received during the Battle of the Bulge in France. He participated in three Unit Campaigns: Northern France, Rhineland and the Ardennes-Alsace. Bradley was awarded the Purple Heart.
Bradley was 26 years old and the son of Bradley Barraclough, Senior and Florence Taylor. His older brother Walter served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II and the United States Air Force during Korea.
