I believe that Mary was a twin to her sister Louisa C. Bell.
These names were verified in a letter from Hattie E. Alley to Thad Ashmore in 1908.

This is what I find on the twin baby, Mary, daughter of Jane Burch Bell. When this baby died she was 10 years old. She was born around 1848.
Her twin was Louisa Canirissa Bell. Louisa Canirissa Bell's Certificate of Death indicates she was born to John N. Bell and Jane Burch (Bell) in Maury County.
This gives more validity to Mary (twin) dying in Lawrence County and being buried in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Lawrence County.
I find Louisa C. Bell at age of 12 in the 1860 census being born about 1848 living in Lawrence County.
