Mrs. Rilla Virginia Davis, widow of Eugene Davis, 605 George street, died at the Washington County Hospital Saturday afternoon at 5:30 of complications resulting from a broken hip sustained in a fall two weeks ago. She was 75.
Born and reared in Keedysville, she was the daughter of George and Susan Dixon and had resided in Hagerstown for 35 years. She was a member of the People's Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are: Daughters, Mrs. Ralph Harne, Hagerstown; Mrs. Nora Owens, Baltimore, and Mrs. Pearl Hines, Hagerstown; son, Darlington Davis, Hagerstown; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the A. K. Coffman funeral home. It will be removed today to the home at 605 George street where it may be viewed until Tuesday noon.
Funeral services will be held at the People's Tabernacle Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Revs. Chester Billman and Ralph Jeffries officiating; interment in Funkstown cemetery.
