Nancy was the tenth child of Robert and Nancy Butler. She never married, although she had a daughter, Alice, born about 1877. Alice was the first wife of George Parrot. Census records indicate that Lizzie worked as a servant or a day laborer to support herself and her daughter. Lizzie's cause of death was the flu. If a victim of the influenza pandemic
(the Spanish flu) of 1918-1919, her death was one among an estimated 70 million.
With the new edit feature, people are submitting changes every other day for Nancy Butler's name. Nancy was never married, thus her maiden is her last name: Butler.
