Lois E. Bowlin, age 61 of Chipley, Florida passed from this life on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Washington Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on October 31, 1959, in Louisiana to the late James and Phoebe Bowlin.

Born an only child, Lois loved her parents very much. For 1 ½ years, Lois lived in Panama Central in Central America with them. After moving to Bonifay she enjoyed attending Holmes County High School. Lois’ illnesses caused her to miss a year of school.

After graduating from HCHS in 1979, Lois continued her education at Chipola College. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for over a year as a C.N.A. Although shy, Lois had an unusually clever sense of humor, which was quite contagious. Very smart, she was a master of movie trivia and finished at least 2 novellas (that weren’t published) around 2003 to 2008.

Due to diabetes, her health declined and she was forced to stop working as a C.N.A. Lois lived with diabetes for around 36 years. Even through her physical illness and the suffering, Lois loved life and was a joy and friend to everyone who knew her. She will be very missed by all of her friends.

She is survived by her aunts and cousins in Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, good friends, Ronald Baxley, Rebecca Knight, Kristine Sickman all of Bonifay, FL.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
