Richard Lewis "Dick" Collins, age 66, of McDonough, Georgia, died July 30, 2006. Mr. Collins was born May 15, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Mary Ann Gilbert and Richard Lewis Collins, Sr. He graduated from Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina, served his country in the National Guard, retired from Sanwa Foods, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and boating. He is survived by his wife, Pat Collins, of McDonough, daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Terry Veneable of Roswell, son, Mike Collins, of Jackson, grandchildren, Cody and Kayla Collins of McDonough, Evan Veneable of Roswell, sister, Marilyn Arnold of Charleston, South Carolina, numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held August 2 at Glen Haven Baptist Church, with pastor Ralph Easterwood officiating. Interment Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park, Haisten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
