R. E. CREASON PASSES AWAY
Robert E. Creason died in the railroad hospital Sacramento, Friday afternoon, about 20 minutes past 4 o'clock. The body was taken to Knights Landing on the 11 o'clock train. Accompanying it were his wife, his two sisters and two brothers, and his mother-in-law. The funeral will be held from the residence of F. B. Edson of Sunday, August 30th, at 2 p. m. Interment will be in the Knights Landing cemetery.
Deceased was ill with typhoid fever two weeks before his removal to the railroad hospital, where he survived only a week. Some complications of the bowels necessitated an operation, which he survived but a short time.
Deceased was a native of California and 41 years of age. He resided in Knights Landing many years. He left there about 11 years ago. When he was taken ill he resided in Dunsmuir. For many years he had been in the employ of the railroad company, first as a brakeman and then as a conductor.
About fourteen years ago he was married to Miss Nellie Darby, daughter of Mrs. M. Darby of Knights Landing. To them were born three children, Lloyd and Glenn Creason, aged 12 and 8 years respectively, and a little daughter now 6 years old. The mother of deceased, Mrs. S. P. Creason, lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Deceased also leaves three sisters, Mrs. F. B. Edson of Knights Landing, Mrs. George Wells of Dunsmuir and Mrs. Lucy Mallett, also three brothers, T. J. and E. A. Creason, of Dunsmuir, and J. Creason.
