Robert was one of three sons born to Peter & Martha Anderson, both from Sweden. Robert was born in Youngstown, Ohio. His mother had left the family early in 1910 & moved to the San Francisco Bay area. This was a shock to the family. Peter and his other two sons, followed Martha to California, but not to San Francisco, Peter wanted to farm, so he bought a farm in the Turlock area of Stanislaus County, California. Robert did not follow his father to California until closer to the WWI. He received a draft notice and with his brothers all were in the military at the same time. Robert was in the U S Navy.

After the war, he & his brother Harry worked & lived in Tulare, CA they for the railroad, Robert was a Baggage Man. By 1925, Robert was listed as a voter in San Francisco, CA & was a Baker. By 1930, we was married to Adele L Unknown last name, no children listed.

By the 1940 Census, Robert & Adele were living in Pima, AZ, neither of them were working.

Family members believe that Robert died in an automobile accident in Merced County area of California in 1949. His wife ordered a headstone to be made & delivered to the Tracy Public Cemetery, it was delivered May 9, 1949. I do not have a plot # or any other location for his headstone. Hopefully, someone at the cemetery can find it for us. Kayla & Syd Snyder
