Mrs. Patricia "Patsy" Hardesty Kirkland, age 70, of Bradfordsville, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born on October 15, 1940 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Kirkland was a retired teacher from the Marion County School District.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Clifton and Minnie Belle Gupton Kirkland; three brothers, Donald, Ronald, and Eddie Hardesty.
Survivors include husband, James Robert "Bob" Kirkland, of Bradfordsville, KY; daughter, Charlotte Kirkland Purdom, of Bradfordsville, KY; two sons, Jim Kirkland, of Bradfordsville, KY, Joe Pat Kirkland, of Bradfordsville, KY; sister, Vickie Courtwright, of Calvary, KY; brother, Paul Hardesty, of Campbellsville, KY; three grandchildren, four great-grandchlidren, two step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Bradfordsville Baptist Church, officiated by Brother William Pierce. Interment in Old Liberty Cemetery.
Visitations will be held after 5:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. There will be visitations at the church for Mrs. Kirkland beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, until time of service.
