Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Calvin Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Primitive Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home.
"Miss" Dixie was retired from the Miller County School System after teaching for 33 years. She worked 8 years in the summers for the Baptist Conference Centers at Ridgecrest, North Carolina and Glorieta, New Mexico. She was a member of Union Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 20 years. She was proud to be a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Middleton of New Mexico; one son Bob (Susan) Middleton of Valdosta; three grandchildren, Meredith Foskey, Lauren Miller, Haley Middleton and three grea -grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Joe Grimsley of Colquitt; and one sister, Joy Newton of Colquitt.
