Richard Lee Aspden died Friday, August 6, at his home in Lochbuie, CO. He was 72 years of age.
He was born April 8, 1927 in Chadron, NE, to William Ray Aspden and Kathrine Willis. Richard graduated from Hay Springs High School in Hay Springs, NE in 1944. He worked on the family homestead and other area farms for several years.
On April 15, 1951 he married Dorothy Marie Clinton. They moved to Glenrock, WY in October of 1951, where the couple's four children were born. The family moved to Thornton, CO in June of 1966.
Richard was working in high-tech assembly when he retired in 1989. He and his wife moved to Lochbuie in December of 1995.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Aspden, Lochbuie; three daughters Roxana Schroeder, Thornton, Shelley Aspden, Thornton, and Vicki Smith, Lochbuie; a son Monte Aspden, Littleton; eight grandchildren Devin Schroeder, Jennifer Spinosa, Christopher Molloy, Jessica Molloy, Meghan Aspden, Kathrine Smith, Amanda Smith, and Richard Smith; and a brother Kenneth Aspden of Cheyenne, WY.
He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Sandra Molly; his parents, a brother and a sister.
