Born Sept 6, 1927 in Bates County, Missouri to George and Mildred Peterson Vermillion. She married Carl Burt Bohlken on Oct 7, 1946 in Olathe, Kansas and to this union two children were born. She attended Amoret Christian Church. She was employed as a postal clerk at the Amoret Post Office for over 15 years. She later operated her own business as an in-home health care specialist. Preceding her in death was her husband and a daughter, Carla Bohklen.
